Things happen so fast around here. Trent Baalke is in and Tom Cable is out. It takes the breath away.

My opinion about Cable: I have no problem with Al Davis not picking up the option on Cable’s contract. Cable is a mediocre coach who got mediocre results — there was improvement but not that much. Al can do better, even if he merely promotes Hue Jackson from offensive coordinator to head coach — but don’t bet on that. I think Al is aiming higher.

I give Al credit for acting fast and for showing his goals are more lofty than not being losers anymore. Ouch.
