Jim Harbaugh will bring the 49ers back to their roots. He will install the West Coast Offense, the offense Bill Walsh brought with him to the 49ers, the offense that revolutionized the NFL. Harbaugh expressed his commitment to the West Coast Offense at Friday’s press conference introducing him as the Niners’ new head coach. The 49ers hope Harbaugh will do many things for them, like make them winners, but bringing back 49ers’ football as opposed to the monstrous offense Mike Singletary used is a crucial first step.
