It’s so obvious now. The Packers did the right thing to commit to Aaron Rodgers and not to commit to Brett Favre. Clearly, Rodgers is a better QB now and has been for a while. The Packers looked into the future and realized Rodgers would be the QB of the future and Favre would be the QB of the past and it would happen fast.

Rodgers is one of the elite QBs in the league. In addtion, Favre played way too long and now he exits under a moral and legal cloud.

One other thing. At Cal Rodgers had the steely determination he shows now — had tremendous self confidence. He was polite and approachable but I remember after Cal lost to USC in LA he was almost inconsolable and barely spoke to the media. I never took that the wrong way.
