I’m having trouble writing this post because I’m laughing so hard. I just read an article in today’s Chron by David White who’s in Mobile for the Senior Bowl. He interviewed Mike Singletary who used to tell everyone how the quarterback position was no big deal — one of 11 players and all that.

This is what Singletary told White yesterday: “You gotta have a quarterback. That’s what I learned about all this.”

Excuse me while I take another laughter break.

It just now occurred to Singletary that QBs matter. And this guy was a head coach for more than two years, the head coach of the SF 49ers. Ha Ha.

Saying a team needs a quarterback is like saying fish need to live in water or the sun warms the Earth or pork goes with beans.

I mean it’s so obvious, and this guy just figured it out. No wonder he got fired.

Honestly, he’s the worst pro football head coach I’ve ever covered but he is a laugh riot. I give him that. To read David’s full article click here.
