I’m picking the Heat in 6 games. I figure they’re too talented for the Mavericks. The Mavericks are great at zipping the ball around and finding the open shooter — lots of open 3-pointers for the Mavs.

I think the Heat can stop that ball movement and I don’t think the Mavs can stop the Heat. I also think when the pressure is really on Dirk Novitski  feels the pressure. I don’t mean he crumbles. I just mean he feels the pressure. And that will hurt Dallas.

A note on the Heat. I keep hearing people say they root against them because they are a “created” team. You know the deal. James, Wade and Bosh got together and made kind of a super team, and somehow that’s supposed to be unfair.

Really?

Hey, every team is a created team. The Lakers are created and so are the Celts. Even the Warriors are a created team in their way. It’s just that not all teams are created equal. I have no issue with the Heat being a created team.
