The Santa Rosa Press Democrat just posted my Friday column on Andrew Luck. Luck and Stanford, as you know, start the current season on Saturday against San Jose State. Luck is a great college quarterback and an interesting guy. I interviewed him in a group setting at the Bay Area College Football media event. I mostly let Luck speak for himself in this column because he is interesting and has lots to say. To read the piece click here.

  1. Stan

Funny that he’s not an especially strong armed QB. He’s got an arm motion that’s not especially smooth. He just puts the ball where he wants to. If he needs to thread the needle that’s harder for rich men to pass through to get to heaven then for a Luck pass to hit a receiver at 40 yards downfeild and over the shoulder..he can do it.
Accurate…I sometimes wonder how many college coaches even care about that anymore with all the running and running QB’s going around. THEY even win Heismans when Luck is just good at one thing-throwing the football to somebodys hands.

  2. One Puzzle Piece Short

I’ve never really watched him play (college sports are a complete joke), but if Stan is right, look out. Bad mechanics have destroyed the career of many a good college QB in the pros.
