Please come back. All of you, please come back.
The Press Democrat just informed me that my blog is going back to how it used to be. You don’t need to go through Facebook anymore. That’s over with. Just read the blog and respond like you used to. We’ll have such good give and take.
My heart leaps with glee.
So, Stan and Neal and Fred G and Johnny Christo and everyone else, come back.
Come back.
Come back.

Lowell, you should still post your new blogs on facebook, like you do on twitter. It’s a good way to know when you’ve got something up.

Finally, this was the reason I stopped reading is that the blog acted as a 1 way form of communication. Good call.

Maybe now my posts won’t disappear. I’m glad the PD saw the light or what ever it took. Cheers.

Frankly, I think it was all a conspiracy to suppress the wit and wisdom of the one and only Stan the man.

Welcome back Lowell. I am glad you are no longer on snooze book, but wished your blogs were set up like Grant ‘s format, where they are immediately up, and you have more freedom with your opinions. Sometimes the recent posts are not up till the next day, and you lose reader’s and interest. But so much better this way.

Right on!..I wasn’t in cync with those Oracle people and that guy who gave a High School as where he lived..it was where he lived, right? wink..explains his complaints.
I missed the first half hour of Comcast..hopefully I can catch the repeat tonight. Korzimar is going for weany company employee of the month with his pro ownership opinions..any owners is good owners with him.
This is a momentous day in sports media..I would say one for fans of Lowell Cohn as unprecedented. Mark Purdy, eat your heart out!

Glad to hear it. Church bells are ringing throughout the land. Looking forward to continued user comment fun.
As a proud member of “needs to get a life” crew, I have lots to say about the upcoming NFL draft.

Praise Buddha, running the old school Brooklyn kid through facebook was lamer than lame. Welcome back to the real world of the neanderthal die hards. PD powers that be rock.

Nice! Thank you Lowell and PD for bringing back to life one of the smartest comment sections around the Web. Now we can comment freely and anonymously, the way it’s supposed to be. Crossing my fingers that the homers from Grant’s blog don’t leak over…

Every day I read your column I felt sad at the loss of your blog and wondered how injustices like this could exist, I hope the guy that insisted on the bone head move got canned. Aside from all that I’m so glad you’re back Lowell

I remember the day you explained how PD rolled out the then new format, diplmatically saying “….for which I am thankful..”

I too am glad that the Facebook thing is over. For what it’s worth, I found it to be a worthwhile experiment in that it really pointed out how a large number of your readers feel about Facebook.
Did the old system allow reply comments to others posts? I can’t remember but I personally find that aspect of Grants blog a very compelling feature.
Please don’t think I was not reading your stuff… but IMO, being able to comment makes the experience of blogging more appealing. Welcome back.

And I thought your previous blog (before Facebook) which misidentified some perfectly
innocent commenters as spam was a giant step backward and as bad as it could get.
Little did I know.

OMG, Lowell! I didn’t even have to re-enter my mojo in the Name & Mail boxes. It’s almost as though this gestation never happened!

So, on to the matters at hand. What say you? If Alex Smith is going to ask for Fitzpatrick money, isn’t that a bit cheeky on his part? The Bills hate that deal. They are the Bills because of business conduct like that! And Smith points to that?! Call his bluff. See how much he wants to go test the market and move to YET ANOTHER OC and, more importantly, leave the protective custody of Harbaugh’s wing. If Smith wants to strong-arm the Niners into another contract like his first contract, then let him go. Sign Josh Johnson and let the chips fall where they may with open competition between Johnson, CK7, & Tolzien. If Harbaugh can coax out of Smith a season defined by 5 interceptions, which is to say, coach him on what NOT to do, imagine what he might be able to accomplish with: a) Johnson, who knows him and his system intimately, b) Tolzien, who has great vision, good accuracy, & a ready trigger, or c) Kaepernick, the one guy in the draft who had better physical attributes than Cam Newton.
-
If Smith somehow gets $60M out of the Niners based on this lone season’s moderate success from the QB position, I will finally agree that he has Jedi ownership over the Yorky, Jed.

The Cohn Zone is a love/hate relationship. He always produces excellent articles but blogs are different. It’s always healthy to have a civilized heated debate
