The Giants home opener is about to begin. Bryan Stow’s little son threw out the first ball. The Giants had video of Bryan and his mom on the big screen. The mom spoke about Bryan while Bryan sat quietly. Then she told him to hand the ball to his son. He seemed to hand a ball to the screen and said a few words. He looks better than he used to look, but he has a ways to go. We wish you well, Bryan. God, we wish you well.

If there is a God, I hope he makes those punks pay for what they did to Bryan and his family.

I attended today so don’t know what home viewers were shown, but at the end of the Stow segment the big screen lingered on Brian, who, after seeing his young son smoke home the opening pitch, had this almost imperceptible smile across his face and held it until the cut-away. His wordless pride screamed forth. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I choke up remembering it.
