As you know the Warriors promoted Bob Myers to GM and gave Larry Riley other duties. I like Riley and hope he’s OK. I don’t know Myers but assume he’ll be very good. I applaud Joe Lacob for taking decisive action. This is his MO to wait around, evaluate and act. Good. It has not translated into a good team but I assume it will at some point.

I don’t know-his hires have much of “keep it in the family”..a family with no NBA experience at what they are hired for.
There’s retread and there’s experienced talents out there to be hired..and Lacob is making himself THE most NBA experienced guy in charge at two seasons. That’s not good.
If Lacob had been decisive, not pensive when he bought the team..there was Jerry Sloan for GM,there would have been no clinging to Monta or wanting the moon for a limited player like Ellis..and scourge of the female staff in Golden State-don’t think that didn’t matter. It did.
Right now its say a prayer and or meditate that Meyers has what it takes.
    Burn a candle too..

I am a little more optimistic than Stan. I like a younger GM, especially one who has been an agent. Jerry Sloan has no experience as a GM so I am glad they passed on him. I think they are headed in the right direction. Certainly a more positive direction than the previous ownership showed.

Larry Kreuger today-crowing how he backs Bob Meyers. Wait, isn’t that the same Larry Kreuger who the next day after Monta Ellis was traded ranted that, “Meyers and Lacob’s kid don’t know how to run a front office”..he steamed. Now,he loves Bob.
Just like he ripped you Lowell for more then an hour…and a few days later said “I was,uh,was kidding. I love Lowell”.

And then in 2005 he said about the Giants…and then later apologized .
I see a pattern of anger..then blurts nonsense…then backtracks on what he swore was the truth.
    That’s a Cumulus kind of guy…
