What I don’t get is the local media saying he’s over the hill. At 31? and batting .307 in a “off year”?. He’s so good, its a wonder he’s not a Beane tradee of the past.
The Dodgers are making a mistake with this trade, in my opinion… They just made their lineup better, but how good will that lineup look when Bumgarner, Vogelsong, Cain, Lincecum, and Zito go through it over and over again on their way to the playoffs… Pitching Always > Hitting…
Continue to wonder whether the Giants will spend the money needed to keep this club competitive with the Dodgers in the years ahead. I’m not convinced.
The Dodgers cannot buy their pennant this year, just as the Red Sox could not buy their pennant. The Giants have heart and they are showing that by playing great baseball since they lost Melky.
Dodger Blue will be singing the blues when it’s all over.
Jack Hammer – what in the world does this have to do with the Warriors?
Looks like the Dodgers are trying to become the west coast Yankees. Buy as much talent as possible and hope for the best. Would love to see a gritty, well managed team like the Gigantes hang on and win the West…
We got the best piching staff in baseball, Dodger’s are clueless. Overpaid contracts to Crawford and Gonzales. Looks like they are following Sabean lead for bad contracts, see Huff, Rowand and Sanchez. Blame Zito on McGowan
the Dodgers can pile up all the hitters they want, but without the kind of pitching that the Giants have, it wont be enough to beat S.F. down the stretch.

This shows how clueless Gruber and company are. Good news for Giants fans, bad news for Warriors fans.

The Giants won’t compete with the Dodgers money wise. They don’t have it to compete with.

I’m going to the game 9/9 and I guarantee a win. The Pads had him in 2010 and we won then and we will win now.
