Bruce Bochy announced Ryan Vogelsong will start Game 3 in Cincinnati on Tuesday. What a fall this is for Tim Lincecum, two-time Cy Young Award winner. One line of thinking is Lincecum could rise to the occasion. But clearly the Giants don’t think so. Either he or Zito could pitch Game 4. My guess is that it’s Zito. Bochy said Lincecum is available to pitch relief tonight. How do you feel about the Giants rotation in this series?

It has been a strange ride to the Division crown. I know of no one who would have guessed, with the Giants in the playoffs, starting pitching would be their weakest link.
Vogelsong and Zito for games 3 and 4 makes sense.

With Cain losing I really don’t think it matters who pitches.

And Lowell,as I write you and EVERYBODY can see why I wouldn’t have made Bum no.2
He’s doing just what he did as a rook and combined off season pitching, minors, and then the big’s..arm got tired.

Zito is hot..let him bake for cry’in out loud.

Reality bites and the Giants are on the verge of elimination after the 9-0 trouncing today..
Lincecum pitched tonight in relief so Vogelsong and Zito it is for games 3 and 4*.

    *if necessary

Now I am inclined to believe they can start you in game 3 and the outcome wouldn’t be much different. Can you hit the curve?
