I just arrived in the press box on a gray St. Louis day. And I’m thinking this. If the Giants win tonight — admittedly a long shot — they might win this series. They would go back to their park with their two best starters coming up. If the Giants win tonight, the World Series is a distinct possibility.

I agree.
The best part is, it’s still a great time to be a fan. The Giants are a win away from being right back in it….which really means they’re already back in it.
Tonight is not about winning 3 straight. It’s about making it an “anyone’s game” series. Down 3-2, but going home.
Sunday isn’t about winning 3 straight. It’s about putting St. Louis in the same situation: back against the wall.
Everyone wants to say they have to win 3 games. But if they win 1 game, they’re in a good situation. If they win 2 games, they’re in a BETTER situation than the Cardinals.
Right now, they have nothing to lose. And as a fan, I’m excited.

It’s why we watch.

Same here. I don’t consider 3 wins in a row as beating fantastic long odds that burn out computers. Its just 3 in a row.

And with parity in MLB..makes it even likely if the Giants get hot. Just 3 in a row..why not?

Lowell, I was thinking the same thing. If nothing else just make the red birds fly to SF. Let’s not make this easy for them or a big ole’ party at their house. No reason why we can’t win one game. I’ve found that if I play my guitar to Train music while Zito is pitching he pitches better.
