Mrs. Cohn Zohn and I snuck away this afternoon and went to the flicks and saw Life of Pi. Great movie. I did not read the book and can’t compare it to the movie. But director Ang Lee is a visual genius. The movie starts a little slow — don’t let that bother you. Buy some popcorn and sit there eating. Once it gets going, it’s fabulous and works on so many levels. FYI, I used to hate when English teachers asked me to explain the levels of a novel. I imagined myself riding in an elevator and the operator calling out, “First Floor, imagery and symbolism, Second Floor characterization,” etc.

One more thing — you must see Life of Pi in 3D.
