It’s still way too early to judge McKenzie or Allen. Here’s from Peter King:

“What did you expect from a team that lost four of its last five in 2011, cleaned house on the coaching side, couldn’t spend any real money in free agency because of the salary-cap jail Al Davis left the franchise in, and hired a GM (Reggie McKenzie) who philosophically believed in building his roster in a different way than Davis did? Except the backfield, receivers, defensive tackle and maybe quarterback, the roster needs a massive upgrade to be NFL-competitive — I’d start with cornerback — and that’s not going to happen in a short period when you’re as cap-strapped as this team has been.”

Hard to judge the coaches accurately when there are so many dud players on the roster.

This from ESPN:

“9. Raiders need time: Oakland Raiders officials and coaches already are coming under increasing pressure for their struggling season. But people are forgetting what a mess general manager Reggie McKenzie and head coach Dennis Allen inherited. Few organizations ever have been in the state of disrepair that Oakland was in after last season. Its payroll was bloated beyond belief, draft picks had been traded to Cincinnati for Carson Palmer, and the personnel was not particularly good.”

“A sign of how bad it was is best evident in Oakland’s new personnel. McKenzie and Allen have 27 new players on the roster, 11 of whom have started. And of the 27 arrivals, 11 players — OL Tony Bergstrom, DT Christo Bilukidi, LB Kaelin Burnett, LB Miles Burris, DE Jack Crawford, WR Juron Criner, WR Rod Streater, C/G Alex Parsons, CB Brandian Ross, RB Jeremy Stewart and LB Carl Ihenacho — have made their NFL debuts this season. It’s a sign of how much work needs to be done, how much time it will take and how much patience Raiders fans need to have for men who know what they are doing but need time to make changes.”

Is it the players or the coach? Remember everyone, and I mean everyone, thought that Niners had bad personnel before Harbaugh showed up and went 13-3 with the same guys. I am not a big Dennis Allen. Head coaches named Dennis have not had much success in the NFL.

The problem is Reggie McKenzie who was a terrible, terrible choice for GM. I think you’ll find his picture in Wikipedia in stand the humiliation any more.

Oh, yes, a house cleaning is necessary. I would start with Richard Seymour, Tommy Kelly, and Carson Palmer. Each one is a dud, living off past glory.

And while it hurts to kick a man who just suffered a tragedy, the head coal doesn’t’ have what it takes for an NFL team.

I’m with you on the multiple draft pick idea…especially with their cap disaster they need low picks to stock the team from both a talent and financial perspective…

Release Kelly and McClain…Draft help for MacFadden and restructure his contract to incentive laiden or let him walk too.

Get rid of Knapp and bring in a real OC…

Besides Knapp, keep the coaching staff intact because nobody wants the job anyway…

Put Palmer, Huff, and Seymour in a room and ask them if they want to create the next generation of winners here or do they want to sulk and be backups someplace else…

If they want to be here…restructure their contracts to make it stick…

Except for the kicker and punter…everybody else is expendable…

Tell Mark to stop messing around and pick a Stadium Site…or move to Santa Clara…whatever…

Gotta rebuild from the ground up…

Have Reggie call me if he’d like any more advice…give him Capts number too…

Everything I read about Reggie McKenzie is good, but he doesn’t have
the bearing, demeanor, speaking ability nor the appearance of the CEO
of a major corporation, but rather appears to be a sixty-ish frumpy guy
who ought to be delivering the same paper route he had when he was 11.

Among other things, I’ll be interested this offseason in seeing whether he is able to maximize the value of
his draft picks, or whether a chimpanzee throwing darts at a
list of players could do as well. So far, on a scale of 1-10, it would be
difficult to rate his performance above a 1.

I ferget the expert on THEGAME..But he is right…the Raiders are soft. They run out of bounds mostly,and when they are tackled in bounds they get up,limp,and woes is me…just soft. And its always something that bothers their “stars”. Bums. Multimillionaire con artists. The Oakland Beidrens.

If it wasn’t for the PD re loader I could go on about the Raiders. Part of that is- every good coach in the history of bay area NFL football showed progress their first year. Grueden,Harbaugh,Madden,Nolan sr,Monte Clark-I always thought waaay underrated btw, and of course St. Walsh. Maybe not winning years..but you could see the difference in the quality of play.
The Raiders are like kids with a substitute teacher..talking back,not trying..just terrible efforts. The team needs, a RE cleaning out after last years. Maybe like Beane,the Raiders will hit the jackpot. As is,is just jack.
