Mario Manningham won’t play Sunday against the Fish. (I loved writing Fish.) So, who are the Niners receivers and are they good?

Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree are good.

That leaves Delanie Walker, Randy Moss, Ted Ginn and A.J. Jenkins. Are any of them good? Please rank them one through four.

They are all good. Ginn is frustrating to me.

    1. Delanie Walker – has made great plays
    2. Ted Ginn – talented
    3. A.J, Jenkins – Rookie….time will tell
    4. Moss – Fast but not multidimensional, great blocker and has speed. Like Alex, he’s one hit away from the ER.

But I really don’t know what I’m talking about and Moss has hurt my fantasy football teams over the years.

I think you’re on to something here, Cohn… the biggest problem with the 49er offense is their receivers who can’t get open downlfield. Crabtree can catch short passes with his hands, but can’t get downfield with his feet, this is nothing new. watch almost any other NFL team and you’ll see receivers wide open downfield.

    1. Crabtree
    2. Davis
    3. Moss
    4. Ginn
Can’t really rank Jenkins, can we?
Sorry to say but Walker should’ve had that TD vs the Rams.
    Kaps throw was perfect.

  4. P-Town Jay

    1. Moss – has the resume, which buys him some respect
    2. Walker – good all around player, struggles with drops
    3. Ginn – speedy returner, unreliable in pass game
    4. Jenkins – unknown commodity, look for him to surpass Ginn

Randy Moss and Ted Ginn can catch but can’t get open

Delanie Walker can get open but can’t catch

and we have no idea about AJ Jenkins…

Thank heavens it’s the FISH coming to town…even a one armed Frank Gore should be able to handle their run defense…

Start praying about the Pats in Foxborough…

    1) Delanie Walker – one dropped TD pass does not a failure make.
    2) Randy Moss – could be #1 if they ever throw some passes to him.
    3) Ted Ginn – would be #4 but Jenkins has never seen any action.
    4) A.J. Jenkins – see #3.

Disclaimer: these rankings depend on a game plan that includes a passing game.

Manningham is good when he’s not hurt.

    You people are high!
Crabtree is playing great this year but nobody here is even listing him.
His hands are are great and his RAC is awesome!
As soon as we can get someone behind Center that can get him the ball on a consistant basis, he’ll blow up.

No, you just didn’t read the article very carefully.

He will not “blow up.” He is what he is. Andre Johnson managed to “blow up” with David Carr. Larry Fitzgerald manages to do so with the crappy NFL QB’s the Cardinals have had since Warner left… Brandon Marshall managed to do so even with the Dolphins… Dwyane Bowe w/ KC… i could keep going, but I don’t want to waste time and I’m sure you’re smart enough to figure it out.

Just a reminder that the Fish have a starting OLB from Montgomery High school in Santa Rosa.

I hope his family and friends continue to live the dream and enjoy the moment.

I see WIKI puts comic Tom Arnold in the class of “Unknown importance”. Sounds about right. I can think of quite a few local celebs who also fit that ranking, but they don’t know it.

Jenkins has been hurt and we have not seen him play.
    Of the remaining three :

    1 Moss
    2. Ginn
Walker goes to the botton for dropping Kap pass in the endzone last week costing them the game .

Now , are the recievers not getting open enough due to lack of talent or crummy patterns that fool no one as drawn up by Roman the niner OC ?
