Matt Schaub may be coming to the Raiders. What do you think?
The comedy that is the Raiders is entering farce territory. I guess Matt Flynn wasn’t available.
He’s ok..he never took the Texans to a higher level. And that’s why they let him go
I don’t get the lack of interest in Pryor..one game he opened with a 88 yard bomb for a TD (As Raider as you can get) and then first play of another game runs 94 yards for a TD. A Al Davis dream,he never got to witness in life.
Ptryor even had the Raiders on a playoff run winning streak, got hurt and Dennis the Menace forgot all that had been done and saddled up to McGloin. Who then gave Raider fans pain in the McGloin the rest of the year.
Sigh,more wandering in the desert…
I think its a good move despite his horrible play last year. The guy has had impressive numbers in the past and made the pro bowl. Doubtful he’ll win a lot of games but if the defense plays well he should help make the team competitive for a full 16 games which Pryor and McGloin were unable to do.
Matt Barrows would be a better choice.
Entering farce territory? What would you call the last decade+?
Seriously, this move is fine. Schaub > Flynn.
While I realize it’s not sayin’ much, the Raiders, on paper at least, have improved their team. It’s OK to acknowledge that.
Schaub was a decent QB and a starter on a good team till a horrific season last year. Was it an aberration or was last season his new normal? The Raiders will pay to find out.
Worked with Jim Plunkett. Worth a try. –bks
The sad part is….Reggie and Dennis after three years now cant promise a playoff run,or even a winning year. No confidence in the team they want us to have full confidence in. And when this team with McFadden is again watching the playoffs…THEN Mark will fire him and them…fans will be told to give the new coach “3 “three more years”..since 2000 over and over.
And I see Hue was promoted to OC at Cincy. Man,we had him and dumped him…for Dennis.
Mark didn’t want an offensive coach to work with a similar GM.
He wanted an accountant GM.
And see how that worked out?
Plunkett had been physically injured and beaten up in previous stops with the Patriots and the Niners. He needed a year to recover physicaly moreso than anything else. Chuck Fairbanks had him running the option in NE. How crazy is that?
He’ll do a good job is the OC is worth anything and if the OL can buy him five seconds…
Oh yeah, Kaep throws receivers open…not!
Carson Palmer 2.0
At least it’s not gonna cost them high draft picks.
When you take over a broken team as McK and Allen did, the first order of business should be to get a qb in place. 2 plus years later the qb situation is still as unsettled as on day one. That is epic failure on McK and Allen’s part.
