9ers just announced Kelly presser on Wednesday. I can attend.
Thank God! I look forward to your probing inquiries.
Always look forward to your questions at these pressers Lowell. Can’t wait to see how Chip comes across.
And good luck with Thursday appontment.
Thanks, Jim S
God surely would have stepped in for you, however, word on the street is that Jed York himself, hearing of your plight and weighing the gravity of a press show with Lowell Cohn- well, that’s one PR disaster that even he would never let happen.
Good luck on Thursday.
I cannot get on to comment most of the time…
not sure why.
Wouldn’t it be weird if both Jed and and Kelly came down to meet you after the presser….?
Frank, I spoke to Jed and Trent afterward in the lobby. Didn’t wait for Kelly. He doesn’t commit himself to much when he speaks. That I learned
Lowell, read your comment on Kelly. I caught most of the presser on the radio. Seemed to me that he is downright gabby, and is at ease in front of the media. Trying to think all the way back to Walsh, has there been a more talkative HC? Or are you maybe implying that he talks a lot without actually saying anything?
My first impressions-
-He seems like a reasonably good hire.
-He has a national championship. That counts for something.
-He has NFL HC experience. That counts for something.
-He seems to have a clear vision of what he wants, and what he wants from his team. After Tomsula, that counts for a LOT.
-He seems specific in what he is looking for in assistant coaches.
-I believe there have been some recent comments attributed to him, wherein he has “thrown some players under the bus”. I didn’t hear anything near that in the presser.
-I was skeptical at first, but the presser has changed my outlook on the coming year.
