Can’t choose !! My answer is YES !!
This is a Cohn for the time capsule!
I hope it’s not out too incorrect to talk about how awful the QB situation is, and especially their SJW Kaepernick. Gabbert has always been awful, and still is, and Kaepernick’s slide to irrelevance is continuing unabated. Baalke has completely ignored the most important position on the team. That’s malpractice by the general manager.
But why did they keep Kaepernick this off-season and not sign another veteran QB plus draft one that could potentially do more than challenge for #3 in a truly awful group? All they had to do was read Kaepernick’s Twitter feed and they’d have learned that he’s basically living like he’s a Freshman in college. He’s grown his hair out, gone vegan and he’s acting out by saying and doing things to get attention. Rather than taking care of his body and being professional he’s lost muscle mass along with whatever was left of his explosiveness as an NFL player.
For all his social posturing, he’s stolen money from the 49ers. He was mentally done being a QB months ago, but he hung around to get this last big paycheck. There’s nothing admirable in the way he’s conducted himself as a football player. He’s physically and mentally unprepared to do his job. And that’s on him.
What’s on Baalke and Co is that this has been a long time coming. And they didn’t see it and didn’t prepare. Baalke might not be on Twitter but his daughter and Jed York are. They should have lobbed Trent a heads-up.
Why do you have TWO separate comments sections?
Like I said on the other side…Kaps Hair,Nose and postgame T-shirt had a Creepy Clown aura going for it. I mean,I cant see a winning QB that looks like him- like that. A sociologist must understand the mores of why.
