I didn’t go to Santa Clara today for Harbaugh’s presser. Instead I wrote about the baseball hall of fame and Bonds, Clemens and Sosa — I’ll post that later. I read a transcript from the Harbaugh social hour and this struck me. Asked if Brandon Jacobs is still part of the team, Harbaugh said he has no comment. Does that mean Jacobs is possibly no longer part of the team? Gee. I’d sure like to know. We all can agree that signing Jacobs was not one of Trent Baalke’s greatest moments.

Now being reported he has been suspended the last 3 games of the season.

they signed him for 975k plus a few incentives, he is a short yardage back on roster thats deep at RB. Bye Jacobs you won’t be missed.

I am not going to agree that it wasn’t a good move to sign him. He looked pretty good to me in preseason before he got hurt. I would agree that it was a signing that did not work out, but sometimes that happens.

It surely does appear that Harbaugh likes his runners to be smaller and quicker (Gore, Hunter, James) rather than big and bruising (Jacobs). From that standpoint it wasn’t a very good signing.
