I am glad you mentioned LeBron James’ late outburst last night, stepping over Draymond Green as an overt insult, and then jawing at Curry. Both of these incidents came after the game was out of reach. This is the boxing equivalent of getting TKO’d and then jawing at your opponent about how you’re going to kick his ass. Fake tough guy.
Equally sad and reprehensible, in postgame comments he claimed the league would look at what Draymond Green did, which makes it plain he was trying to goad Green into a suspension as he clearly thinks that’s the only chance his team might have.
He’s about to go 2-5 and championship series and he’s picked the players and the coach. This is all on him, and he’s shrinking from it. I’ll be curious after losing this series if he fires Lue or goes back to Miami to hold hands with his buddy Dwayne Wade.
I think the MVP of the playoffs is Kerr. Yeah, I know he isn’t playing on the court, but he sure is playing the right players at the right time. Maybe some of the best basketball coaching I have seen.
Virtually all of the post-game comments on ABC after the game were about the Cavs failing to do this or that — still no love for the Warriors on national level and I think a second title would not change that. Yes we have Steph but it seems rest of country is all superstar focused so that a real team with a talented bench and the rhythm and flow offense of Warriors is not recognized as it should be.
