Let the Baalke funeral watch begin!!!
Chipper just exposed Baalke’s whole pathetic roster in a single half of exhibition play.
$15 million of quarterbacks either can’t get on the field or hit a wide open stationary target in the flat.
God bless him, Navarro is still the best player on the defensive side of the ball despite the fact he can’t cover my dead granny on a short inside pass pattern.
The other backers are either druggies or can’t play.
The fullback has no position and the TE has a really cute wife.
The strong safety is so unnerved by the potential for CTE that he needs to hang it up and go work with Borland.
The best receiver on the roster was from Canada and he tore his ACL.
The O line is going to gel any day now…I swear…
I’m waiting for the Tom Gamble era to officially begin!!!
You should change your name to Hyperbole
It’s always a pleasure to be dissed by an educated individual!!!
Dissed…hardly. Educated…but of course.
It was a preseason game – the first preseason game. Maybe the team exceeded his expectations. They did rack up 300 yards of offense in the first half and the running game didn’t look too bad.
You pointed out in a previous column that the running game is where Chip needs to start to rebuild this team and I think that was a success.
As for your insider friend, who is he talking too because the expectation for this year has been about 4 wins since the draft? Nothing has changed.
When the most positive thing that Dennis has to say about his beloved niners is “the running game didn’t look too bad” you know it’s going to be a long season.
4 wins is the low side of expectations for sure. This team will be improved at oline, probably dline, ilb, rb (hyde healthy and davis looking spry down 20 lbs), and qb play should (fingers crossed) be consistent with this system…AND we all have to agree, whether we like the guy or not, that Kelly is WORLDSSSS better than Jimmy T. All those things should provide the same record as last year, which was 5 wins, and really should result in some improvement. Maybe they only win 6 games but they are competitive in the loses, that would be improvement across both the win total board and the quality board.
I’ll be shocked if they finish with a worse record than last year, really they only downgraded (maybe) at WR, every other position group has either gotten better or stayed the same.
I agree they will be better than last year but not good enough to over come a much tougher schedule. They will certainly be more entertaining.
I’m with Dennis. getting overly excited one way or the other after the first preseason game under a new head coach with such a radically different system is rash.
Dude…this is the Cohn Zohn…we specialize in rushes to judgement, overreaction and hyperbole…
Get with the program!!!
I remember the same thing happened to Harbaugh: first season, first preseason game, I think it was against the Saints. We got blown out. The Saints were blitzing and the offensive linemen were standing, watching, as they blew by on their way to the poor QB. I think they blitzed 8 times in that game, The Cohn Zohn went ballistic on Harbaugh.
As I said then, wait for the season.
