Yes, the defense is a work in progress. But it’s not as if they haven’t contributed. They kept Brees and the Saints out of (reasonable) field goal range at the end of that game. They held off the Titans when the offense decided to call it an early day. They kept Flacco and the Ravens, with a ton of time and one of the best kickers in the league, out of field goal range at the end of that game. Oh, and one more thing: the Raiders had total control of last year’s Chiefs game in Oakland until Carr went crazy and started throwing bonehead interceptions. Don’t expect that to happen again.
Everything true there Lowell. But as luck will have it, the Chiefs I think are in the mold of who the Raiders can feast on. Or just beat..either way, win.
Losing to Alex Smith.
Lowell – Amazing! Almost line for line, the outcome of the Raider-Chief game was exactly what your column prognosticated. The Warriors, the Giants, the Niners and now the Raiders….you definitely are the cream of the crop here in the Bay Area. Hope you have hundreds more columns in your tank before you decide to move on to greener pastures! Alex did carve them up pretty good today, despite all of the naysayers. Just proves that coaching matters, too!!
