Lane Kiffin got fired on Tuesday, Sept. 30. His Pleasanton house went on the market Thursday, Oct. 2. That’s a lightning-fast two-day turnaround. I am told listing a house in two days is almost unheard of in the real-estate world. It borders on wild.

It tells us the Kiffins had done all the prep work in advance — they had all the photos taken, the whole works. It tells us Kiffin knew exactly what was happening with Al Davis, knew he was about to get fired. So he had the house ready to go when he got the heave-ho.

Oh, one other thing. He purchased the house for $2.350 million and is asking $2.750 million. That’s an increase of 400 grand. I am told he never will get that price, considering the economy is in the dumper. He would do better to ask 400 grand less than what he paid.

All of which means Kiffin may be judging the housing market as badly as he judged Davis.
