I wish they’d knock off playing ‘God Bless America’ at baseball games. The Giants usually do it on Sunday during the seventh-inning stretch and they do it other games too. They played it last Saturday when the Red Sox were in town. I stand up for it in the press box even though I’m working and already stood up for the national anthem before the game started. ‘God Bless America’ isn’t even the national anthem and when they play it at Giants games and ask people to stand and take off their hats it feels to me like enforced patriotism.
