I’m amazed when I keep reading articles saying how bad US soccer was and implying it was a national disgrace the way the team played World Cup. I don’t feel that way. I think the team played really well and got fans excited. The team made soccer relevant to American fans for a while and the team did that in the middle of baseball season and around the NBA draft. Our soccer team made it to the knockout round and lost to Ghana, a better team, in overtime. Why is that a national disgrace? I think people should be pleased we played so well and look forward to even better days.
