Grant here.

My dad is working on a column for The Paper so he delegated Alex Rodriguez’s 600th home run to me.

A Rod hit his 600th home run yesterday.

How do you feel about that?

How do I feel about it? I’m not impressed.

Not because of the steroids. They mostly all took steroids. No, I just don’t think its super impressive to do something six other people have already done.

When Barry Bonds hit his 600th homerun, he was the fourth person to do so. He made the group a quartet. Now Ken Griffey Jr. and Sammy Sosa have joined the club as well. So A Rod makes the group a word I don’t even know. A seven-tet? Who cares?

Let A-Rod hit 700 before the nation gets all worked up. 700 is the new 600 anyway. Call that the steroid curve. All juicers must hit more homeruns than Sammy Sosa in their careers to matter at all, and they must hit 700 home runs to have hall of fame consideration.

Bonds did both, bless his cheating heart. Let’s see what A Rod has left in the tank.
