After Saturday’s game, Bruce Bochy said the Giants are trying to get Pablo Sandoval to be less noisy at the plate. Sandoval said he’s trying to be more quiet at the plate. I asked what he meant. He said the team wants him to calm down, not move around as much. You know how jittier he is. So moving around equals being noisy and staying still equals being quiet. This noise/quiet duality is an interesting way to look at his hitting and there are signs it is working.
