Here is Bochy on Lincecum’s effort today. Bochy is positive about Lincecum. I don’t agree with one thing he says:

Bochy: I really thought he threw the ball better than what the numbers showed. He had some tough luck. Overall he did throw the ball better. He had some tough luck today.

 Q: Are you confident in Tim going forward?

Bochy: Yeah, I’m very confident. Like I said, I felt better about how he threw the ball today. He’s going to take this hard. He pitched better today than the last outing, no question about that.

 Q: The speed gun showed he lost velocity?

Bochy: You start logging that many pitches it’s going to catch up with you. He came out throwing live in the first inning. He’s got to put this behind him. Even though the numbers don’t show it he should feel a little better about how he threw today.
