Joe Lacob and Peter Guber, the men who are in the process of acquiring the Warriors, are seeking additional investors in the team. I know this for a fact.

I don’t know what it means. Does it mean Lacob and Guber are cash poor for the NBA — unlike Larry Ellison — or do they simply want additional investors? They are currently approaching potential investors.

They make a good impression and their business plan seems sound and attractive. Lacob is a venture capitalist, which means he is assertive, a go-getter and he’s persuasive. He seems like a decent guy.

Guber conveys Hollywood and that means he speaks in grandiose terms about basketball and life. He’s a bit of an embellisher, what Hollywood does. Which means he’s enthusiastic. He comes across as straightforward in his dealings and highly likeable.

I get the distinct idea others would like to invest in the team — Lacob and Guber make the Warriors seem like a good thing; they are a good thing.

I would like to ask Lacob about his investors and his money situation and his background and other things. We both went to Stanford — we could walk around the Quad and reminisce while we sing “All Right Now.” So far he hasn’t answerd my email.
