This is about the Kabul Golf Club.

I just read an article — I’ll post it down below — about the only golf course in Afghanistan. Yes, there is one — all nine holes of it.

What gets me is this. All golf courses have hazards but hazard is a relative term. On this course, you could get shot by the Taliban driving up the dirt road to play a round. Now that’s a hazard.

There used to be unexploded land mines on the course, although the owner says he removed them all. You know how reporters say things like “Tiger blew up his game on the 8th hole.” On this course you really could get blown up.

There is no grass, but that may come.
