How do you feel about those champagne celebrations after a team wins the division, division series, championship series, world series?

That’s a lot of champagne down the drain.

I’m kind of bored with the ceremony which seems obligatory. They may as well be shooting water guns because they don’t seem to drink the bubbly. I wish they’d tone it down or just knock it off.

On the other hand, F.P. Santangelo and Rich Aurilia, two guys I like, told me they enjoy the champagne ritual because it’s really important to reach those levels of achievement on the field. Maybe I’m just being stodgy.
