Jason Cole, who seems to have a pipeline to the Niners, wrote a story saying Mike Singletary may get fired even if the team makes the playoffs. Two things about that:

1. Singletary should get fired even if the 49ers make the playoffs. He is a bad coach who knows nothing about strategy. At the end of this season the Niners must tear down everything and start over again. That means — are you listening, Jed? — getting a real general manager and a real head coach.

2. Cole writes that a source in the organization told him Singletary may get fired one way or another.

Is that source Jed York himself? I wonder. We know Jed sends text messages to national media. He may have texted Cole. For all we know Jed is The Rat.
