Jon Gruden just said a team with an under .500 record should not be allowed in the playoffs. I think he was half kidding. For what it’s worth, I disagree with him, if he was even a little serious. If a team wins its crummy division with an under .500 record that’s life. No one ever said life is fair. If the Niners get into the playoffs with say a 7-9 record good for them. They deserve it. Of course, they’ll get murdered in their first playoff game if they ever get that far but that’s another story.
