With all these Smiths floating around at QB for the 49ers it’s very confusing. Now we are told from multiple sources Troy is out and Alex is in for the Seattle game, the Niners next must-win game. I personally don’t think it makes much difference. I mean the verdict is in on Alex and apparently as far as Mike Singletary is concerned the verdict is in on Troy.

The Niners need a real QB. But then again they need a lot of things. I am interested in your opinion. Do you think this change to Alex makes a significant difference or is Singletary simply flailing around?
