I was hoping the PD posted my column so I could link it to my blog. But it’s 11:15 pm and I want to go to sleep so I can get up early for the Raiders game. So I’ll post it in the morning.

But I want to tell you this. We watched “It’s A Wonderul Life,” on video tonight and God I love that movie. When all the folks of Bedford Falls come in at the end and give Jimmy Stewart their money so the building and loan can stay in business and Jimmy (George Bailey) doesn’t have to go to jail I always cry. I cried again tonight which makes it about 40 times I’ve cried at that scene. Why do I cry? Do you cry?

By the way that’s not my favorite movie. My favorite movie is “The Wizard of Oz.” I’m not saying it’s the best movie although it’s fabulous. I’m saying I love it best. Like when Dorothy steps out of the flying house  into Oz and all of a sudden it’s in color or when she meets the Cowardly Lion and slaps him or when she squirts the oil on the Tin Man or when she looks behind the curtain and sees the wizard for what he is or when she clicks the ruby slippers and says there’s no place like home or when Judy Garland stands there with that enchanted look and sings Over the Rainbow. Don’t get me started.
