Mike Singletary knows who his quarterback will be on Sunday vs. the Rams. He said he’s already informed the Smiths which one will be the starter.  But he refused to tell the media this morning who the starter will be and that means he refuses to tell you, the fan. Why won’t he tell?

The obvious answer is he doesn’t want to tip off the Rams. That’s a reasonable tactic as Alex and Troy play totally different games. But Singletary went out of his way to say that was not the reason. He disdains that cat and mouse stuff, he said.

So why won’t he tell us who’s starting? He said he just doesn’t choose to tell.

This new wrinkle confuses me. This weird season just got more weird. I have idea why Singletary is keeping this decision secret. If any Zohn reader has a plausible explanation for Singletary’s lack of an explanation please share it with the group.
