Sorry I haven’t posted much today. I have been booking my trip to spring training and it takes time. I love spring training. In fact, Marty Lurie phoned while I was booking the trip. He’s at a Giants fantasy camp in Scottsdale and he called to say hello and to say Jeffrey Leonard says hello.

OK, Jay Cutler. He came out of the game yesterday and the blogosphere went nuts, people saying he lacks guts. This is disgusting. I always respect an athlete who says he’s injured. I always give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s the only fair thing to do. The internet can be a dangerous, cruel place. Turns out Cutler has a torn MCL. I am writing my Tuesday column on the injustice done to him.
