Duke Snider died on Sunday. Part of my childhood died with him. He was not as good as Willie Mays or Mickey Mantle, but he was great, a Hall of Famer — three Hall of Famers playing center field in New York at the same time. I used to see the Duke play center at Ebbets Field. He was part of the great Dodgers team that won the World Series in 1955, so long ago. I wrote my Tuesday column about the Duke, an homage to the Duke. To read it click here.
