John Sousa, a former student of mine, a friend and a terrific writer directed me to this Matier and Ross item about Gary Plummer and why the 49ers fired him. I now direct you to it because frankly it takes the cake. I understand if the Niners didn’t want him ripping them although they deserved to be ripped. But it’s possible they dumped him because he talked about sex — kind of a tell all — on some radio show. Not good judgment.
