To me the answer is easy. It’s Jonathan Sanchez – he’s the worst.

I don’t mean he’s bad. But Madison Bumgarner and Ryan Vogelsong are better.

Vogelsong is so good he could be the best pitcher on the staff right now.

For the playoffs, I would order the rotation like this:

1. Lincecum
2. Vogelsong
3. Cain
4. Bumgarner

Sanchez becomes a long reliever and Zito is merely a clubhouse presence.
