The Press Democrat just posted my Monday column about the Giants beating the Reds on Sunday. We are experiencing a glitch in posting and my column posting is about 12 hours late. We are working on it. I used the game as an example of the Giants’ pattern — how you think they can’t hit (they can’t) and are going to  lose and don’t stand a chance of holding on and winning their (weak) division. But they come back against all odds, and they have one heck of a bullpen and suddenly they win. This is a fascinating pattern and maybe you want it no other way — it’s highly exciting.
