According to reports the 49ers have signed center Jonathan Goodwin for three years. This seems like a very good and necessary signing. They also are in the hunt for wide receivers Malcolm Floyd and Braylon Edwards. These are talented  receivers, an upgrade from what the Niners have, although Edwards has personal issues and may face a suspension.

So props to Trent Baalke for working hard and getting at least one essential player. Maybe he had a plan after all. He needs to finalize a deal for a receiver.
