It is being widely reported that the 49ers just claimed San Diego Chargers’ quarterback Scott Tolzien, the guy who looked so good last Thursday night against the 49ers in San Diego. I like what I saw from Tolzien. It’s just that he’s a rookie and Colin Kaepernick is a rookie. Which means the two backups to Alex Smith are rookies. This seems like a risky position to me. A lot of people write to the Zohn and say I should trust Jim Harbaugh, the guy knows what he’s doing. OK, I’ll trust him on this. I just have trouble understanding it.
