This is a “feelings check” about Michael Vick. As you know, I did not think the NFL should have reinstated him. No need to go through all that again.

He has lived a civilized life since his reinstatement, as far as we can tell. (What he did with the dogs was not civilized.) He also has flourished in his profession and won the respect of teammates and fans. He seems to be a changed man — changed for the better.

So here are my feelings. I’m sorry he got a concussion and then hurt his hand. I hope he can play against the 49ers because it would be fascinating to see. I wish him well.
