Grant just posted an interesting and timely blog for his “Inside the 49ers” blog he writes for the Press Democrat. He based the article on interviews he conducted in Santa Clara today. He posits that Alex Smith has overcome every hurdle thrown at him this season including the game-manager designation. But people still wonder — often out loud — if Smith is a good enough deep passer.
