Grant just posted a thought-provoking blog on “Inside the 49ers,” and I thought I’d share it with you. He had heard John Madden say on radio that Thursday night games are dangerous because of the short turnaround which does not allow players to heal as they heal with a full week’s rest. The 49ers, as you know, play Thursday night in Baltimore. Grant asked a couple of Niners players their thoughts. I never had thought about this before but, off the top of my head, Madden has a point.
