I just got back from the movies, saw “My Week With Marilyn,” based on Marilyn Monroe filming a movie with Laurence Olivier and the problems they had professionally and personally. I liked the movie very much — Michelle Williams as Marilyn was outstanding.

But . . .

As we left the theater, Mrs. Cohn Zohn pointed out that Williams was excellent when she portrayed Marilyn the person. But when she portrayed Marilyn on screen, in a scene, she could not capture the luminous quality Marilyn had. No one could capture that.

I still recommend the movie.
