Grant and I are driving down to Santa  Clara today — in separate cars — for Niner Wednesday. The coach will talk and players will be available. I’m hoping to write about Alex Smith, but who knows? Lots of things could develop. After I write my column I drive to SF to Comcast for what they call The Blitz. Three of us will be talking fast and debating sports topics and in my ear Andy will keep reminding me to look at the camera and not at my fellow panelists. The Blitz is fun. Today will be fun.
