This is not a sports blog. It’s a blog about personal phone books.

For years and years I used a small leather phone book that my wife got me. It felt good. It smelled good. I had all my phone numbers in there from personal friends to Steve Young, although my number for him is probably out of date.

In the last few years the book started to fall apart. Plus I have a million little pieces of paper I shoved into it with various numbers I never got around to entering. It’s all quite sloppy — out of character for me.

Grant told me to set up my numbers with my gmail account. I did that, although I haven’t entered all my numbers. But I notice when I want a number I still look in the little book. I like a book better than gmail on the computer.

So, how do you handle phone numbers? I know I’m hopelessly out of date and I’m soliciting your help.
