Sorry to be late with this. Got in late Monday night from New Orleans and was writing all day today. But I have questions about Ahmad Brooks and an admission. We sit so high up in the Superdome I had trouble seeing Brooks’ play and the foul. Grant had the binocs. On replay it looked like a foul. I thought I saw the arm around the neck and I thought I saw helmet to helmet. But I admit a lack of clarity. So, do you think Brooks committed a foul? If he did, does it concern you that the Niners did nothing with the ball when they got it back at the end and could have taken the lead? Did the game come down to that one play?

Another note: I interviewed Brooks after the game. He was polite, well-spoken and patient. He was likable for the limited time we spoke. I kept thinking he was the guy who allegedly hit another guy in the head with a beer bottle. It didn’t compute, but people have different sides.
